ABHYANGA

It is believed that the effects of Abhyanga are similar to those received when one is saturated with love. Like the experience of being loved, Abhyanga can give a deep feeling of stability and warmth. Even the Sanskrit term for oil, snehana, translates to love.  A traditional Ayurvedic massage where a generous amount of warm herb-infused oil is massaged from head to toe into the skin with intentional movement. This therapy is deeply grounding and nourishing to all of the tissues and joints. The treatment is detoxifying and supports a healthy digestion, sleep patterns and is soothing to the nervous system.
